The Toe.

A toe, a toe
Away it shall go.
Far from its foe,
Who happens to be a hoe.

A toe, a toe,
Away shall it go.
Looking for more,
For seeds it did sow.

You choose to look at the toe.
What happened to looking at more.
Till your eyes grew sore,
And the mind reached the core,
Of your universe,
But the toe will rehearse
And we shall all look,
Look at the toe,
Missing out so much more.

THE TRAGEDY OF A SINFUL SOUL- a path less travelled

Fate  questions  even  the  most  unquestionable,
At  the  most  unexpected  periods  of  cruelty.
But then again forsaken are those who do not,
Dare to lead a life they feel they must.
And hide in the shadows of their hopes.

Sinful was she,
Yet hide she did not.
She flaunted her sin,
And enjoyed it.
She cared no more,
For the frailties of despicable lives.

Her sins outdid her charming self,
She lived to live,
A life that few dared to live.

She lived to please herself,
Her life in her hands.
Her instinct grasping her reasoning.
Her soul riding above our latent ones.

Static

I touched it,
Touched the air that surrounds you.
Didn’t you hear me,
Hear me,
Through the noise,
Through the poise.
Through the limitless doubt.

If I touched your air,
Will I care?
Have I entered your universe,
Without your consent.
Does it mean I care?

Will you let me,
Care?
When all I do,
Is stare.
At the space,
You refer to as air.
Stop me?
Or just let me be.
Should I care?

I’ll look, you see.

I’ll look into your mirror,
Look at what you can’t see.
I’ll close my eyes and shut down,
Shut down the voices,
The voices that live within me.
I’ll peep through,
Catch a glimpse,
Of your faded soul.
Crying out to be saved,
While you descend
Down into your self-created hole.

You will never hear the bells,
That sing out to you.
Sing of winds and time,
Time that never existed for you.

I close these eyes,
So that you won’t need to know,
That you lost this space,
In which you loved and had faith,
You gave up and let go.

Lay down,
Lay still,
Be here,
Free of will.
Let it come,
Let it go.
Whisper close,
Dance some more.

Dangle those legs,
Bite those lips,
Chew on your hair,
Let your cat stare.
But I’ll still look at that mirror,
See what you want me to see.
I’ll shut out what you feel,
Stamp my being with a seal.
And you’ll believe,
That we exist in harmony.

When you think otherwise,
I’ll block that out too.
I’ll save you,
Because
When
I
Look
I
Never
See
You.

Letting it rain.

The symphony of raindrops,
Shatters the isolation.
Self chosen.
Self woven
They seep into your soul,
Tired that it is.
Healed fears.
Healed tears.
As it rains down on you,
You fight to let go.
Fearful pain.
Fearful gain.

You choose your mind,
The one you think exists.

Dance to the sound of the afternoon rain.
Dance to the tune of the declared sane.

Release

As the twinkle faded,
And the dosage decreased.
The hand lost sight,
Of the feet beneath.
Yet strut along it did,
As the hands flapped,
To be released.

So as it struggled,
With the essence of defeat,
Along came the dirt,
Accompanying the off-side beat.
At the yellow altar,
You will find a strip of faith.
Which will only bind you,
To your authoritarian fate.

So flap all you want,
Flap till you forget to count.

Your feet will carry you,
To what your hands,
Will never want.

The key is to find,
A common bend,
Along the body-way.

 Drop
 a
 bell
 along
 the
 way
 then
 maybe
 a
 dung-beetle
 might
 just
 find
 you
 and
 show
 you
 the
 way
 to
 that
 place
 your
 dreams
 never
 find.

Into nothingness.

When you sell your soul,
You do so thinking you’re doing it for the best,
Obviously.
Why would you sell your soul otherwise?
Why shouldn’t you aim for better,
Who is anyone to condemn you?
After all souls too,
Are like commodities,
Auctioned to the highest bidder.
There is no space left for principles,
Morals,
The truth.
We live in an age of compromises.

And yet we dream we’re more,
More than what we prove to be.
More than what we end up being.

Rhymes and aspirations are for the lizards,
Who crawl in your space,
And silently abide by the laws,
Put down by you.
You claim to be in control,
But you’ve already sold your soul.

So you go through life hating and waiting,
For something more,
Something that will bring.
Your despairing self,
Back to this unworthy life.
You think you deserve better,
But then you don’t want to deserve either.

Be it love,
Monetary assets,
A kind word,
A strong hand,
Physical abuse,
Emotional strength.
Maybe if you could feel something,
You’d be alive,
A new soul would emerge.

But then you’re already so bitter,
So angry,
So silent,
That nothing can change,
Because you’re used to,
Wallowing in pity.
Paying attention to yourself,
Because no one else will.

This is not a help-your-self thought,
Or an emerge-in-this way idea,
You are your own self,
Only you can save yourself.
It depends if you want to be saved,
Or not.

So we go on compromising bits of us,
Nothing matters,
Since you’ve already sold your soul,
And the irony is,
You didn’t even realize that you had,
Because you were elsewhere,
Not on this plane,
But on one where you were perfect.
