I’ll look into your mirror,
Look at what you can’t see.
I’ll close my eyes and shut down,
Shut down the voices,
The voices that live within me.
I’ll peep through,
Catch a glimpse,
Of your faded soul.
Crying out to be saved,
While you descend
Down into your self-created hole.
You will never hear the bells,
That sing out to you.
Sing of winds and time,
Time that never existed for you.
I close these eyes,
So that you won’t need to know,
That you lost this space,
In which you loved and had faith,
You gave up and let go.
Lay down,
Lay still,
Be here,
Free of will.
Let it come,
Let it go.
Whisper close,
Dance some more.
Dangle those legs,
Bite those lips,
Chew on your hair,
Let your cat stare.
But I’ll still look at that mirror,
See what you want me to see.
I’ll shut out what you feel,
Stamp my being with a seal.
And you’ll believe,
That we exist in harmony.
When you think otherwise,
I’ll block that out too.
I’ll save you,
Because
When
I
Look
I
Never
See
You.
